Introduction:

Workshop is the place where we will learn something extra knowledge to what we have already learnt. It boosts your Theoretical and Practical thinking. It shows you how to apply the subject you have learnt to the real world situations. In today's world, many students are unable to apply the subject what they have learnt to the real world situations. This becomes very important in industries and in research fields. Workshop fulfils this gap effectively.

Course Details:

This workshop provides you knowledge about the different components in 4 – stroke engines andhow the fuel injection system will be used. You are going to exposed several parts of an engine ,This is going to share a knowledge about the disassembling and assembling of a car engine

Theory session:

1.Discussion on basic components.

2.Basic working principles.

3.Working of the engine.

Practical session:


1.Demonstration of the engine parts with injection systems.
2.Disassembling of each and every part of the car engine.
3.Assembling of each and every part of the car engine.


Rules:

1.There are no teams. Anyone can participate individually.

2.No additional material will be provided like Kit, CDs etc.. Except CERTIFICATE.

3.Don't bring any Cameras, Mobile phones to capture them.

This becomes very important in industries and in research fields. Workshop fulfils this gap effectively.

Course Details:

In this session you will be given a basic view of the problems that will be faced in the working of a bike. A vivid view of the parts of trouble shooting will be given. The trouble shooting of bike parts will include carburettor, engine overhauling, spark plug, brakes, gears and shifter, bearings, suspension system, cam shafts, piston pin and rings, fork, clutches, speedometer cables.

Theory session:

1. Discussion on basic components.

2. General problems occurring in the bike and their rectifications.



Practical session:


1. Examination of different components of bike.
2. Gear box operation.
3. Demonstration of suspension system.
4. Demonstration of brakes and clutch mechanisms.

Rules:

1. There are no teams. Anyone can participate individually.
2. No additional material will be provided like Kit, CDs etc.. Except CERTIFICATE.

  • Prezentare

    This event have two sub events they are

    Paper Presentation

    Paper presentation is all about how you present your topic in front of the public. They see the way you present it, the way you put your points, your way and the style of presenting the paper, the language you present in the topic.

    Abstract

    It is the brief note of the topic that is not exceeding more than 200 words. This would be purely about the presentation you are going to give.

    Rules

    1. Maximum of three members can form a team.
    2. Eight minutes will be given for the presentation and two minutes for interactive section.
    3 Abstract should be in IEEE format.
    4. One soft copy of paper presentation must be e-mailed and two hard copies of abstract should be carried along with you.
    5. Judges decision will be final.
    6. The abstract should be sent on or before 15th February, 2017.
    7. The final result will be judged by our organizers and judges.
    8. Only technical and non technical (two) streams are available.

    Poster Presentation

    Poster is a session that forms an excellent medium for authors to present papers and meet with interested attendees for in-depth technical discussions. In addition, attendees find the poster sessions a good way to sample many papers. Finally you have a much longer interval of time to present your work to smaller groups in comparison to oral sessions, which combines text and graphics to make a visually pleasing presentation. The ideal poster is designed to attract attention, provide a brief overview of your work, and initiate discussion. Your message must be clearly and noticeably displayed to attract people who might have an interest in poster.

    Abstract

    1. A team has a maximum of three members.
    2. Submit an abstract without more than two hundred words in IEEE format
    3. The size of the poster should be A2 OR A3.
    4. The font size should be large enough, so that it can be readable from 1 meter distance.
    5. The font style should be in new roman or Calibri.
    6. The aspects considered in the competition are both technical and non technical content of poster, presentation skills and poster and appearance.
    7. The abstract should be sent before 15th February, 2017.
    8. The final result will be judged by our organizers and judges, and is final.

  • Robotrix

    This event have two sub events they are

    Robo race

    This event is to race against your opponent on a track, full of difficulties, hurdles and shortcuts. Finish the race first... Show your driving skill and stand out as "THE FASTEST".

    Specifications

    1. Robot should fit in maximum of 25cm x 25cm x 25cm (l, b, h) box.
    2. Maximum Weight- 4 kg. Excluding battery.
    3. Power Supply- (12 to 24) V DC/AC (max)
    4. Robot can be wired or wireless.
    5. Robot should be four or six wheeled only.

    Rules

    1. Player must keep his/her robot within the track, cutting of track may cause restart from last checkpoint
    2. Direction lines and arrows indicate the checkpoint.
    3. Robot should not damage the arena.
    4. Maximum of 5 members are allowed in a team.
    5. Hurdles may include Sand, Marbles, Wedges, Water, Dry clay, Grease, etc. College and organizing team will not be responsible for any damage of robot.
    6. Use of Lego kit is not allowed.
    7. Decisions of the judges will be final.
    8. No. of rounds depends on no. of entries etc,.

    Robo War

    The Blood....the sweat.... the destruction.....the glory.... Flying blades, violent motors, the thrashing sound of metal and a junk pile of annihilated machines. It's the realization of the Roman royal experience, indulging the mechanical gladiators into ripping off every nut and bolt of the rival and cutting it into pieces. Beat the thrill and be ready for the kill. Dripped in blood but glory still within sight you can come and conquer might and finally come out of the cell as the ultimate catch.

    Task

    Design and construct a remote controlled robot capable of fighting a one on one tournament.

    Specifications

    DIMENSIONS AND FABRICATIONS :
    1. The machine should fit in a box of dimension 500 mm x 500 mm x 700 mm (lxbxh) at any given point during the match.
    2. The machine (robot) should not exceed 15kg of weight including the weight of pneumatic source/tank. All pneumatic tanks/source and batteries should be onboard. Weight of remote controller will not be counted.
    MOBILITY :
    CONTACTS :-
    All robots must have easily visible and controlled mobility in order to compete. Methods of mobility include:
    1. Rolling (wheels, tracks or the whole robot).
    2. Non-wheeled robots having no rolling elements in contact with the floor and any continuous rolling or cam operated motion in contact with the floor, either directly or via a linkage. Motion is "continuous" if continuous operation of the drive motor(s) produces continuous motion of the robot. Linear-actuated legs and novel non-wheeled drive systems come under this category.
    3. Jumping and hopping is not allowed.
    4. Flying (using airfoil, helium balloons, ornithopters, etc.) is not allowed.
    5. Any sort of equipment can be used to disable opponent bot like hammer, cutters, lifters, etc..,
    6. We are no responsible for any sort of damage to your robot in ware.
    ROBOT CONTROL REQUIREMENTS:
    1. The machine can be controlled through wired or wireless remote. Power supply should be onboard only. Refer below for further details on battery and power.
    2. The machines using wireless remote must at least have a four or more frequency remote control circuit or two dual control circuits which may be interchanged before the start of the race to avoid frequency interference with other teams. The case of any interference in the wireless systems will not be considered for rematch or results.
    3. Remote control systems from toys might be used. Remote control systems available in the market may also be used.
    4. Non standard or self made remote control systems must first be approved by the organizers.
    5. The voltage difference/voltage input in the remote control should not exceed 9V at any point of time and during the entire length of the competition. But if there is no wired connection between robot and the remote controller then potential difference can exceed the given limit of 9V.

    BATTERY AND POWER :
    1. The machine can be powered electrically only. Use of an IC engine in any form is not allowed. On board Batteries must be sealed, immobilized-electrolyte types (such as gel cells, lithium, NiCad, NiMH, or dry cells).
    2. The electric voltage between 2 points anywhere in the machine should not be more than 36 V DC at any point of time.
    3. All efforts must be made to protect battery terminals from a direct short and causing a battery fire, failure to do so will cause direct disqualification.
    4. Use of damaged, non-leak proof batteries may lead to disqualification.
    5. Special care should be taken to protect the on-board batteries.
    Change of battery will not be allowed during the match.
    Only bots with onboard batteries are allowed.

    Rules

    1. Arena should not be spoiled at any cost.
    2. Regarding the other RULES and ARENA will be declared on spot...
    3. Players who are participating in any of the Robotic event can participate in all the robo competitions except Workshop,

  • Innovazione

    We might have different ideas regarding different topics. But if we can give a physical shape to our idea, it would become much more helpful to us & our society. This event introduces you to our Engineering world.

    Model Expo

    A topic or a concept is taken and it is represented in the form of a model which explains the innovative idea and a prototype is made representing a mega project or etc.., But it should not be a copy of the existing one. You may modify the existing model for a better performance than that of the previous one or you may create your own new project. Your model can be of any size and shape. . You may bring those models that may not be possible or face difficulty while building it in reality. For example, we may not make an Airplane that flies by moving its wings continuously as like bird although it is quite possible to build such a model like our playing airplanes (Indeed we have not yet understood the flying mechanism of a bird).

    Send one abstract that describes your model or project like principle, area, how it works etcetera within one page in IEEE format to our mail which is given below.

    Rules and regulations :

    1. A maximum of four members per team are allowed.
    2. You should be ready with your model on first day morning (27th February, 2017).
    3. The final result will be judged by our organizers and judges.

  • Movie manix

    Anyone can now make a short film—but if you want to make a good film it will take time, preparation, and some expenditure. But if this is something you really want to do, putting the time now, it will make all the difference later. Your short film should be an original motion picture that has a running time of 20 minutes or less, including all credits. .

    Rules & Regulations

    1. Maximum of five people can form a team.
    2. Students from any college and any branch can form a team.
    3. Copy films are not accepted. Originality is important.
    4. If found copied from web or any other sources, you will be disqualified.
    5. A theme/trailer of maximum 120 seconds should be sent while getting yourself registered to the e-mail id given below
    6. While registering, the team leader should specifically mention the event name (short films) in the registration form.
    7. The final result will be judged by our organizers and judges, and it is final.
    8. The last date of trailer submission is 20th February, 2017.

  • On spot(Quiz)

    Rules and regulations :


    1. A maximum of 3 members per team are allowed.
    2. Students from different colleges can form a team.
    3. Any number of teams from a college is allowed.
    4. Questions from any department viz., sciences, technology and current affairs etcetera will be posed.
    5. Quiz master's decision will be final.
    6. Quiz will be conducted in two phases
    7. Any number of individuals are allowed for first phase.
    8. First phase is a written phase.
    9. Only 4 teams will be selected for second phase. Rules for this phase are given on-spot.
    10. Certificates will be given to those participants who were selected for second phase.
